Chef Cameron Cieslak grew up in suburban Minneapolis and started washing dishes at a local restaurant when he was only fifteen years old. Cieslak quickly fell in love with back of the house operations and continued to work his way from dishwasher to lead line cook. Cieslak then decided to enroll in the Art Institutes International Minnesota and pursued his Bachelors Degree in Culinary Management, while working at Cafe Lurcat in downtown Minneapolis and, what was formerly, Northcoast American restaurant in the western suburbs.  After graduation Cieslak moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 2009 and started at the original Troquet location for close to four years as sous chef, before moving on to the Columbus Restaurant group where he was Executive sous chef at Ostra, Mistral, and Sorellina, and opening Executive Chef at Bar Lyon. After leaving Bar Lyon, Chef Cieslak was became chef de Cuisine at Deuxave under the direction of Chef Chris Coombs and Chef Adrienne Wright. 

Coming full circle as a Boston chef, Chef Cieslak is now Executive Chef at the new location of Troquet on South and lives in the Greater Boston area. For more information on Troquet on South please visit: www.troquetboston.com
